Sellou
Also known as *Sfouf* or *Zamita*, is a traditional Moroccan dessert that is especially popular during the Ramadan and special occasions like weddings. This sweet treat is made from a mixture of roasted flour, almonds, sesame seeds, and honey, which are combined to form a crumbly, yet rich and nutty paste. Often, it’s flavored with spices like anise, cinnamon, and gum arabic, giving it a distinctive taste and aroma. The mixture is pressed into a mound or shaped into small pieces, then garnished with whole almonds.
